Brendan has been the lead pastor of Buchanan Church of the Nazarene since July 2018. Brendan is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University. Brendan graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Pastoral Ministry and also received his  Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry. He enjoys spending time with his kids, going to the beach, and playing disc golf. 

In addition to his role at Buchanan Naz, he is on the board of directors for the Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce, is the Missions Coordinator for the Michigan District Church of the Nazarene, and is a care partner for Berrien Springs Public Schools (where he provides support for staff and faculty).

Arika has been the Children’s & Family Pastor of Buchanan Church of the Nazarene since July 2018. She graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2016 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Children’s Ministry. She served as the Assistant Children’s Pastor at Chicago First Church of the Nazarene for two years before moving to Buchanan. Arika was ordained in the Church of the Nazarene in 2021. She is a substitute teacher for the school district and enjoys getting to invest in the students at school. Her favorite color is purple, she loves coffee as long as it doesn’t taste like coffee, she loves being a mama of 3 and she keeps her favorite fall scented air freshener in her car year round. In addition to her role at Buchanan Naz, Arika serves on the Credentials Board for Michigan District. 

Harold has been at Buchanan Church of the Nazarene since 2019. He currently serves as the treasurer and is an active part of our childrens minsitry team. 

A fun fact about Harold is that he is a huge Nascar fan! 

Derrick graduated from Dowagiac Union High School in 2001. He married his wife in July 2002; they have two teenagers at home. Derrick has been with the Buchanan Church of the Nazarene since 2020. He has served on the Church Board since 2021.Derrick is passionate about the youth group, growing the church, and the worship team.He enjoys spending quality time with his family and watching the Cubs, Bears, and

Notre Dame games. When at church, Derrick can be found in the sound booth or occasionally singing with our worship team. 

Jen Krueger has been attending Buchanan Naz since 2021, along with her husband and 3 children (ages 14, 10 and 9).  Along with Jen serving on the church board, she and her family are also actively serving on the Worship Team, in the Children's Ministry and in Community Outreach opportunities.  Jen also volunteers at her children's schools, helps with the Buchanan Youth Softball Baseball Association, is a member of the parent/teacher groups at two schools, has served on the Parent Advisory Board for Buchanan Community Schools and volunteers at a preschool program for another local church.  Her favorite things to do are spend time with her family, enjoy all 4 seasons in Michigan, watch her kids participate in sports and performances, garden, read and be involved in helping Buchanan remain the Nicest Place in America.  

Elaine has been at the Buchanan Church of the Nazarene 5 years.  

She is passionate about Gods calling to work in children's ministry and helping children understand the gospel story from an early age. Elaine enjoys making homemade cards, and loves watching Nascar.
